Real Estate Litigation
Project Recruit has partnered with a top-rated regional, multidisciplinary law firm known for its exceptional culture, collaborative environment, and supportive leadership. The firm is seeking a Real Estate Litigation attorney to draft and argue motions, prepare legal documents, and provide counsel to real estate operators primarily in NYC and throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities
Draft and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment and motions to compel
Appear regularly in NYC Landlord-Tenant Court to argue motions and try cases
Prepare and review predicate notices, including rent demands, termination notices, notices to cure, non-payment petitions, and holdover petitions
Draft pleadings in plenary actions involving breach of contract, lease, and guaranty disputes
Draft and negotiate lease modifications, surrender agreements, and related landlord-tenant agreements
Provide day-to-day legal advice and counsel to real estate operators across various asset classes, primarily in NYC and throughout the U.S
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex real estate and litigation matters
Qualification
Required
Minimum of two (2) years of Landlord-Tenant and/or Real Estate Litigation experience
Demonstrated experience handling NYC Landlord-Tenant court appearances
Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills
Admission to the New York Bar (required)
Preferred
NYC-based residential and commercial real estate experience preferred
Landlord-Tenant trial experience a plus
Commercial and/or construction litigation experience a plus
