Enforcement Attorney
The State of Indiana is one of the largest employers in the state, offering a range of opportunities across various agencies. Responsibilities
Prepares documents and pleadings for administrative or civil enforcement actions
Collaborates with investigators in preparing cases for enforcement actions
Conducts witness interviews and depositions
Negotiates settlements, attends hearings and other case-related meetings
Communicates with complainants, witnesses and legal counsel
Reviews securities offering documents
Works with other law enforcement and governmental agencies
Conduct legal research relating to the Securities Division from time to time, as assigned by the Senior Enforcement Counsel or the Indiana Securities Commissioner
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least five (5) years of experience as an attorney, preferably in a litigation role
J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Good-standing member of the Indiana State Bar
Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize objectives
Maintain the highest ethics and confidentiality in investigations and enforcement actions
Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
