5+ years expBass Pro Shops is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to manage the filing of the company’s sales and local tax returns and handle audits and inquiries from the government. This role includes preparing tax workpapers, reconciling tax accounts, and coaching team members as needed.

Responsibilities
Prepares tax returns and reviews tax returns that others have prepared
Prepares tax workpapers and tax calculations that support the tax return
Reconciles the tax general ledger accounts
Makes tax payments, both balances due and estimated payments
Works with various governmental and third-party auditors on audits of tax returns
Creates monthly journal entries to accrue for tax accounts and record provision differences
Helps coach and provide guidance to others on the team, when needed

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years in Tax Accounting
In-depth understanding of financial statements
Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
Self-motivated and takes initiative
Excellent communication skills
Personal and professional decorum, trustworthy, and of good character
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA is a plus
