Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to develop new or improved lamp designs that meet regulatory requirements, customer expectations, internal manufacturing needs, and cost targets
Perform and/or coordinate testing of lamps and components to ensure products meet performance, durability, and quality requirements
Develop, improve, and document standards for design, simulation, and validation testing related to mechanical lamp design
Partner with Manufacturing and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing or product quality issues
Support Purchasing in sourcing components and validating suppliers, ensuring parts meet industry standards while optimizing cost and supply chain flexibility
Work closely with Sales to support quoting activities, including estimating part and capital costs for new or revised business
Mentor and support other engineers and team members across quoting, design, manufacturing, and validation processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field required
3–5 years of relevant experience preferred (candidates with less experience may be considered, especially with a master's degree)
