Responsibilities

Establish and update credit policies
Execute and assist with the development of a comprehensive training program for all credit analysts
Assist credit team members in the identification and development of individual growth plans
Interviewing and hiring of credit analysts
Lead and support Strategic Initiatives for Credit as assigned
Lead credit meetings and communicate important functional information
Understands and supports process and technology changes and works with credit personnel to introduce and support these changes
Work alongside and build relationships with business unit leaders to understand and provide consistent alignment with the goals of the credit function and needs and direction of the business unit
Develop and maintain staffing models to assist finance with five-year planning
Annual/semiannual reviews of credit personnel
Daily monitoring of analyst performance
Review of business unit and analyst transactions to ensure consistency and portfolio quality
Solicit feedback from Credit Team (Surveys, One on One Meetings) to help maintain a positive working atmosphere
Lives and promotes the GreatAmerica Principles and Standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/related field or equivalent
5 years credit experience, including 2 years at a leadership level
Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must possess excellent analytical ability, capability to process information quickly to reach appropriate decisions, desire to teach others, and good interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers at all levels
Prior history of strong mentoring skills, professional written and oral communication, and role model credit and interpersonal abilities required
