The State of Missouri is seeking a Benefit Program Associate to join the Division of Employment Security. This role involves processing correspondence, scanning documents, and managing unemployment insurance claims information while working independently and assisting team members as needed.

Responsibilities

Open/sort correspondence to prepare for scanning
Scanning of documents into KOFAX
Work/split and assign fax batches on the KOFAX system
Input and retrieve unemployment insurance claims information
Work independently within the scope of assigned duties
Perform other related work as assigned
Seek to assist team members and accept additional assignments willingly

Required

High School degree (or equivalent) and 1 year of relevant experience (substitutions allowed)

Preferred

Introductory knowledge of, and the ability to apply, interviewing techniques in practical work situations
Ability to make accurate arithmetical computations
Ability to work rapidly and accurately in examining and processing a variety of documents
Ability to consistently display strong customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and accurately
Introductory knowledge of the principles, objectives, and regulations underlying the unemployment insurance program and of the applicable state and federal laws
Introductory knowledge of computer and related equipment for data input, retrieval, and word processing
