Responsibilities
Develop methods of recording fiscal transactions
Allocate funds
Update and maintain accounting systems
Independently prepare financial statements/reports/cost analyses
Develop and present budgets and other financial information for review
Assure timely processing of payrolls
Distribution of checks
Preparing federal/state tax reporting
Manage fringe benefits and premium conversion
May supervise or lead fiscal paraprofessionals and/or other support personnel
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices including cost accounting
Knowledge of the use of data processing techniques in maintaining accounting records
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability to apply and adapt established accounting methods to a variety of financial transactions and records and multiple funding streams
Demonstrated ability to design and compile financial reports and statements
