Responsibilities
Maintain a working knowledge of all rules, regulations, and procedures of U.S. Customs, FDA, USDA and other relevant government agencies
Determine proper classification and valuation for a wide variety of commodities
Prepare and submit various types of entries, including PGA transmissions, ISF's, and In-bonds
Handle issues relating to customs clearance such as, but not limited to, Customs exams, FDA holds, ISF holds, AMS mismatches, etc
Oversee staff performance and providing mentorship
Optimizing workflows and enhancing customer experience
Strong technical Customs knowledge, and problem-solving skills
Perform additional duties and projects assigned to support business objectives
Qualification
Required
3-4 years+ years ‘experience in international trade and customs processes
Proficiency in customs brokerage software and technology (ideally Descartes OneView)
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred
experienced Entry Writers with an active Customs Broker License
