Responsibilities
Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships
Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals
Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks associated with the services being offered
Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff in completion of project activities
Provide regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client such that the project work plan and the client’s expectations on deliverables are understood and aligned. Monitor project deliverables for quality, completeness and conformance to the client’s expectations
Proactively monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule. Develop appropriate recovery plans in the event of potential shortfalls
Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes
Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and project consulting issues
Guide design or consulting work in the manager’s area of engineering expertise
Routinely report project progress to the local and regional accounting and operations team
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Significant experience with utility scale power generation systems including simple cycle and combined cycle plants
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Significant client interaction from pre-positioning for the work through project completion
Ability to develop strategies and plans for performing the work
Ability to monitor and communicate status of the project
Ability to lead multi-discipline project teams to successful completion of the work
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; or combination of Degree and Relevant Project Experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant power generation project experience
Registered Professional Engineer
PMP Certification
Experience designing or managing simple cycle and combined cycle EPC projects as owner, owner's engineer, OEM, or EPC contractor
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
Demonstrated business development skills
Good communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills
MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software experience
