Responsibilities

Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documents and presentations to various audiences, including project team, and client relationships
Frequently communicates with team/piers on assignments, questions, progress, and completion of tasks
Provides leadership for a project team under a senior project manager by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Determines staffing needs, deadlines, and internal expertise to make the project a success
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Collaborate, support, and mentor staff within a team-building work environment, where team members have fun while effectively working together toward meeting internal performance goals as well as client objectives
Assists in preparing proposals and reviewing contracts for small to large projects
Assists in determining project-specific information including overall project scope, fee estimating, and project scheduling
Involved in business development by maintaining existing client relationships while fostering new relationships
Develops project work plans, including staffing, and oversees/plans all architectural aspects of construction projects from Concept / Schematic Design Phase through Construction Administration
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, ensuring individual job assignments are completed timely and consistent with project requirements
Proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
Assists in managing ongoing quality control and participates in quality issue resolution
Schedules and attends all client meetings and documents those meetings through meeting minutes
Can manage a small project with partner involvement or assist a senior project manager on a larger complex project
Responsible for ensuring the quality control and quality assurance program is initiated and adhered to through the life of the project
Review and provide feedback on proposed construction cost estimates and construction schedules
Perform construction observation and jobsite visits, attend OAC meetings and assist construction administrators with submittal and RFI reviews and generating documents for PR issuance
Abide by and fully support compliance with all firm policies and maintain daily attendance reliability in the office, or as assigned, and in accordance with policies

Required

Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to perform each essential duty and responsibility effectively
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Strong leadership and communication skills, including verbal, written and technology-based communication skills, graphic skills, and design ability
Ability to work effectively individually and/or in a team atmosphere
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and consultation skills and the ability to take appropriate decisive action
Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, construction methodology, design, trends, material application, sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines
Strong ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models
Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead others by example
Proven ability to present to clients and assist and participate in marketing/project interviews
Available for limited travel, works hours as required to meet training and project requirements/deadlines
Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
Understand the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
Professional degree in architecture or related field required; Bachelor of Arts or Science in Architecture or a Bachelor of Architecture and/or Master of Architecture preferred
Architecture licensure in good standing required; NCARB certification preferred
Experience in construction administration
Generally, eight years+ post-graduation experience in architecture; comparable experience in related fields will be considered
