Responsibilities
Serve as the finance lead for new operational activities, including acquisitions and organic growth initiatives
Own plant conversion costs, including budgeting, forecasting, standard setting, and variance analysis
Lead monthly operating and financial reviews with plant and operations leadership
Perform detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, operational variances, and standard costing
Lead financial reviews of manufacturing KPIs, inventory, and ERP standards, recommending improvements where appropriate
Manage cost accounting activities such as cost allocation, cost control, and cost reduction strategies
Lead and analyze cost savings initiatives, including tracking financial impact and payback periods
Provide financial analysis and decision support for major initiatives such as new facilities, equipment, or manufacturing assets
Support annual inventory audits and recommend process and control improvements
Conduct ad hoc financial and business analysis and participate in special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
At least 7 years in a manufacturing environment with experience as a plant cost account, controller, or plant finance manager
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
CPA or CMA certification is a plus
Proficient in cost accounting methodologies, inventory management, and product cost analysis
Advanced skills in Excel modeling
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to perform under pressure
Passion for improvement and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven leadership abilities with a track record of managing & developing teams
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software
