Principal Engineer, End to End Systems and Analytics
Google is seeking a visionary Data, Analytics and Intelligence Engineer to lead the next phase of growth for Google Cloud Supply chain and data center operations. The role involves transforming complex supply chain data and data center telemetry using AI-driven data engineering and decision frameworks, while advocating for the integration of AI/ML technologies to enhance decision-making and optimize processes.

Responsibilities
Advocate for the integration of AI/ML technologies across our supply chain and data center to enable predictive analytics, intelligent automation, optimization, and enhanced decision-making
Establish an understanding in Google Data centers and the challenges faced due to growth and scale and design innovative data-driven solutions that deliver tangible business outcomes
Take high-level, abstract business challenges and decompose them into well-defined, executable technical roadmaps and system designs
Take end-to-end ownership of critical system components, ensuring their reliability, performance, security, and scalability
Advocate the organizations vision for Google data centers and supply chain as a global standard, driving 10x thinking and AI innovation for touchless, measured user experiences, acting as a recognized leader
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
15 years of experience building and designing distributed enterprise-level systems
Experience leading and delivering large-scale system transformations from concept to deployment
Preferred
Experience in systems engineering, architecture, or a similar role, with a significant portion focused on supply chain data and analytics, data warehousing, and data engineering (preferably lakehouse and medallion architectures)
Experience with complex data modeling and large-scale data processing within a supply chain and data center context, focusing on governance and privacy
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority, building strong relationships and driving alignment across teams
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and infrastructure
