The University of Missouri-Kansas City is offering an internship opportunity at KCUR Public Radio for aspiring journalists. Interns will work with a team to create podcasts, gain experience in audio editing, and explore creative ways to engage audiences.

Work with a team of producers, reporters and hosts to create daily, weekly and seasonal podcasts
Gain experience mixing sound, pulling tape, playing with sound design, scripting, and writing promos
Think of creative ways for podcasts to engage and reach new audiences
Help produce video and social media content
Qualification
Required
Interns gain experience working with a team of producers, reporters and hosts, mixing sound, pulling tape, playing with sound design, scripting, and writing promos
Interns will be asked to think of creative ways for our podcasts to engage and reach new audiences
Interns may also be asked to help produce video and social media content

A work sample can be a writing sample or other materials, including produced audio or video pieces and published articles

Preferred
Since audio editing is such an important part of this internship, the strongest applicants will be those with existing familiarity with Adobe Audition
