Responsibilities

Manage and conduct all ticket sales, special sales requests (complimentary, discount, group, staff, season pass fulfillment, and donor ticket redemption), and door sales at events both at tent and offsite locations for education and special events
Maintain a comprehensive and advanced understanding of the Patron Manager ticketing system software and support the training of new staff
Build/maintain all single tickets and passes for mainstage seasons and ancillary program performances in the back end of Patron Manager, and facilitate the transition to public on-sale
Ensure that all phone calls, emails, and voicemails are responded to, and that any patron questions or complaints are satisfactorily resolved
Prepare and reconcile daily deposits and financial business for the box office as needed
Maintain, adjust, and develop ticket sales policies and procedures for will call, walk-up, phone sales, online, waitlist, and special programs ticket redemption
Produce and distribute all sales reports against budget for every performance daily
Manage all box office inventory (Stripe readers, Boca printer, ticket stock, envelopes, phones)
Manage the implementation of donor ticketing benefits into Patron Manager accounts
During summer months, ensure that the lobby and box office are open by 10am Mon-Sat
Print and organize will call for each performance
Serve as on-site leadership in any emergency situations
Support the Front of House manager as needed
Train and manage box office hourly workers and, in conjunction with the Front of House Manager, the seasonal Box Office and Front of House Assistant
Assist with Theatre Aspen’s annual gala as needed

Required

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a box office manager
Exhibit a high capacity for interpersonal relations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle fast-paced and high-pressure situations with diplomacy and tact
Knowledge of theatre and the ability to engage with patrons about the programs of Theatre Aspen
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, implement, and manage at both strategic and operational levels
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse constituency and foster an environment of respect and civility
Strong and effective communication skills
Experience with Patron Manager or similar patron management database
Ability and willingness to maintain a flexible schedule in order to work weekends and evenings as needed
