Responsibilities
Support EHS programs including chemical safety, biosafety, hazardous/medical waste, ergonomics, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and occupational health
Conduct laboratory EHS inspections (biosafety, fire safety, hazardous materials, and waste compliance) and document findings
Assist with hazardous, medical, and universal waste handling and documentation
Respond to incidents and support investigations and corrective actions
Deliver EHS orientation and safety training for contractors and employees
Coordinate CPR, First Aid, and AED trainings
Conduct hazard assessments and prepare Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
Support lab moves, commissioning, decommissioning, and safety equipment setup
Assist with emergency drills and regulatory compliance documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
Preferred
0–5 years of EHS experience, preferably in laboratory, R&D, or biopharma environments
Basic knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with day-to-day EHS compliance and emergency response
Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment
Proficient with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Experience using EHS or compliance databases
