Start in 2026 SummerTK Elevator is seeking a motivated University student to join our team as an AI Data Engineer Intern. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines, working with Azure cloud data platforms, and supporting analytics initiatives that drive operational excellence across our global manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities
Build ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks to ingest data from manufacturing systems, ERP platforms, and IoT devices
Develop and test data transformation logic using Python, SQL, and Spark
Write scripts and utilities in Python or .NET (C#) to automate data workflows
Support data quality monitoring and validation efforts
Learn and apply best practices in version control, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies using Azure DevOps
Document data flows, schemas, and processes
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Support various phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business intelligence, application development, and plant operations
Participate in meetings with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data solutions
Explore and recommend improvements to existing data processes
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
Foundational knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C#/.NET
Familiarity with relational databases and basic data modeling concepts
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Exposure to Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure SQL Database
Experience with Python libraries for data engineering such as pandas, PySpark, or NLP
Familiarity with Java or Scala for distributed data processing
Experience building applications or scripts using .NET (C#)
Familiarity with Git version control and Azure DevOps for CI/CD
Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt
