Coordinator of Training and Onboarding (CVSS)

Responsibilities
Provide overall coordination and oversight of intern and volunteer program within CVSS
Provide training, onboarding, supervision, and guidance to interns and volunteers working with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes so that clients and the community receive timely, appropriate services
Act as liaison to local colleges to recruit and supervise interns
Coordinate and deliver new staff/intern/volunteer training and onboarding and quality assurance for new and current CVSS staff members, interns, and volunteers alongside CVSS Leadership Team
Take an active role as part of the Leadership Team for the Center for Victim Safety and Support attending weekly and monthly leadership meetings sharing ideas and input for team growth and program development and organization
Facilitate staff, intern, and volunteer ongoing professional development through training and supervision, working with other supervisors to ensure all staff are appropriately trained to meet agency requirements, all regulations and funding requirements
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, recommending, or hiring, and maintaining adequate staff
Participation in supervisor on backup on call rotation
Act as a member of CVSS Leadership and attend weekly and monthly leadership meetings
Generate and maintains required records, reports and statistical data for the program and ensure that all supervisees comply with agency policy and procedures and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Review and ensure all intern/volunteer documentation including daily and monthly activity reports, timecards, and client data is accurate and complies with funding sources’ standards
Facilitate staff, intern, and volunteer professional development through training and supervision, working with other supervisors to ensure all staff are appropriately trained to meet agency requirements, all regulations and funding requirements
In conjunction with the Associate Director, facilitates program development and new initiatives including grant writing related to assigned programs and agency initiatives
Participate in and initiate program outreach to the community and expand service reach by researching community organizations and providing community outreach through presentations
Assist with fundraisers and special events (some of these may be outside agency hours of operation)
Maintain quality assurance procedures, including creation of policy and procedure manuals, monitoring and evaluating the quality of services and programs. Completion of staff performance appraisals to ensure that assigned programs meet agency and regulatory bodies’ standards
Complete and maintain training certification as NYS DOH Rape Crisis Counselor
Complete NYS Mandated Reporter training; report any behavior or implication of behavior of child abuse to the appropriate authorities
Other duties as assigned based upon the need of program or agency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
Minimum three (3) years' experience in a victim services program
Supervisory experience a plus
Previous experience in administration and program development with strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills a plus
Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision
Excellent administrative skills
Possess ‘out of the box' thinking and resourcefulness
Ability to work effectively when under extreme pressure
Possess compassion and empathy
Must be able to get to and from various work locations throughout the day and during on call hours
Must have a cell phone willing to use for work (will be reimbursed), with effective coverage for the Dutchess County area
Must be reachable outside of regular office hours as needed and have the ability to work irregular hours on short notice
