Senior Strategic Account Executive

The Senior Strategic Account Executive will own the full sales cycle for strategic and enterprise accounts, focusing on closing high-value SaaS opportunities and developing account strategies to drive growth.

Responsibilities
Enterprise Sales Leadership
Own and close complex, high-value SaaS opportunities from discovery through contract execution and expansion
Drive deals forward with urgency, clear next steps, and strong close discipline
Convert pilots and evaluations into paid deployments and multi-site expansions
Pipeline & Opportunity Management
Effectively work and convert inbound opportunities from EMPEQ’s active funnel
Take ownership of shaping and advancing deals that require proactive leadership
Over time, contribute to pipeline creation through strategic outbound, partner collaboration, and account-based efforts (not high-volume cold calling)
Maintain accurate pipeline, deal stages, close dates, and forecasts in CRM systems
Strategic Account Development
Develop and execute account strategies that support long-term growth, expansion, and retention
Build trusted relationships across executive, operational, and technical stakeholders
Executive-Level Engagement
Lead discovery and value conversations with senior decision-makers across Operations, Facilities, Energy, IT, and Finance
Position EMPEQ’s platform through ROI-driven business cases tied to cost reduction, risk mitigation, uptime, and data integrity
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Product and Customer Success to scope, execute, and convert pilots
Provide feedback from the field to inform messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy
Data-Driven Sales Execution
Manage pipeline and forecast revenue with accuracy using HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
Maintain disciplined sales hygiene and reporting standards
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with quota responsibility
Proven success closing complex, consultative deals
Demonstrated ability to convert inbound opportunities and progressively source your own deals
Strong ability to influence and negotiate with executive stakeholders
Experience working with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar)
Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong focus on results
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Experience selling into asset-intensive, operational, infrastructure, energy, or data-driven environments strongly preferred
MBA or relevant certifications a plus
