Responsibilities
Assist in the A/R billing process, ensuring accurate invoices
Verify all transactions on bank statements
Track and analyze costs for ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and contracts
Maintain accurate records, post journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and financial reporting standards
Work closely with project managers, and other departments to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy
Analyze variances in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Other accounting task as needed including Budgeting, Forecasting, etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the AEC, construction, or engineering industry
Experience with Deltek products, specifically VantagePoint is a plus but not required; will train the right individual
Advanced Excel skills are a plus
Strong understanding of job costing, financial reporting, and accounting principles
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments
Preferred
Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation is a plus
