The Research and Impact Analyst is responsible for organization-wide research, evaluation, and data stewardship, ensuring data is accessible and useful across all programs while leading major research projects that highlight conservation impact.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic research: Execute one major conservation research project every 18 months that produces compelling, shareable findings and practical program guidance
Steward organizational data: Create an internal learning hub that centralizes all organizational data—ensuring it is clean, organized, and accessible across departments — to help staff apply findings to program decisions
Develop resources: Partner with program teams to design evaluation plans, research tools, templates, and timelines that align with program goals and partners' needs
Create consistency: Centralize research and evaluation across programs so surveys, focus groups, and conservation impact results are coordinated and consistent
Share learnings: Translate research findings into partner briefs, conference presentations, blog posts, and organization-wide updates
Coordinate grant projects: Work with program staff to identify research and evaluation funding, support proposals with research plans, methods, budgets, and manage research grant deliverables
Foster a healthy culture: Help build a strong sense of belonging by ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included at Resource Central

Required

2 years of experience in research, conservation, or a related field
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (one year of professional-level experience may substitute for one year of required education)
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. Proven experience working with and creating formulas, graphs, and statistical analyses
Must pass a background check if offered the position

Preferred

Graduate-level research experience or actively pursuing a graduate-level degree
Knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in, waterwise landscaping or water conservation strongly desired
Experience with GIS and StoryMaps preferred
