InternWonderful Citrus is America’s largest integrated grower, shipper and packer of fresh citrus, and they are seeking a highly motivated intern for a summer internship. The intern will gain hands-on experience in environmental health and safety by assisting in safety assessments, developing procedures, and maintaining documentation under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing packinghouse operational assets to help identify energized equipment and potential safety hazards
Support the development of lockout/tagout (LOTO) maps and procedures for various assets and tasks, working alongside an experienced maintenance team member
Collaborate with an assigned clerical support team member to maintain accurate records and documentation
Review existing Confined Space documentation to verify accuracy and completeness
Help update current Confined Space documents and assist in creating new maps and documentation for additional assets as identified
Identify required safety signage for each asset and help compile a list of signage needs
Support the process of requesting and organizing the purchase of safety signage
Assist with applying and installing safety signage on all applicable assets throughout the facility
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety
Must be 18 years of age or older
Minimum of beginner proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to work autonomously
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
