Business Development Manager (Oil and Gas)

This role is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, managing client relationships, and supporting field operations to deliver effective solutions for drilling contractors and operators.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue growth in the solids control and oilfield services line of business within assigned territory
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, focusing on drilling contractors, operators, and service partners
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for solids control equipment, drilling waste management, and related services
Partner with Sales, Operations, and Account Managers to develop and implement sales strategies, pricing models, and market penetration plans
Maintain and grow customer relationships by conducting site visits, presentations, and solution-based sales meetings
Provide technical expertise regarding drilling fluids, cuttings management, centrifuges, shakers, dryers, and waste minimization solutions
Ensure local business development plans stay ahead of opportunities and clearly define each customer’s value proposition
Responsible for account ownership, opportunity pipeline, and contract execution in assigned accounts
Accurately maintain customer and opportunity data in CRM systems (Salesforce/Beacon)
Support cross-functional sales efforts within other Clean Harbors service lines where appropriate

Required

Strong technical knowledge of solids control, drilling fluids, and oilfield waste management
Proven ability to develop strategic pricing models based on market and competitor knowledge
3–5 years of direct sales experience in solids control, drilling fluids, or oilfield services (required)
Strong financial, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-oriented sales environment
