Environmental Services Technology Manager
NEOGOV is seeking a Technology Manager for the City of Tacoma's Environmental Services Department. The Technology Manager will lead IT projects to support the department's business needs, overseeing a team that manages software applications, data models, and GIS databases.

Responsibilities
Leading a team responsible for:
Providing IT project management to facilitate the development and implementation of software applications that support the department’s business processes. This includes working with end users, 3rd party vendors, and application developers to ensure deliverables meet the project objectives
Maintaining and developing digital twins for the treatment plants and collections systems
Developing and maintaining predictive data models and other data analytical tools to support data driven decision making
Maintaining and updating data (including data quality control) for the Environmental Services Department GIS database
Identifying and monitoring progress toward project goals
Collaborating with departments, leadership, and governance bodies to prioritize work, intake requests, and ensure alignment with citywide goals
Managing competitive bid processes, RFP’s and RFQ’s
Managing consultants and vendors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or directly related field AND 6 years of progressively responsible information technology and project management experience in the area of assignment including 1 year as a technology supervisor, manager or subject-matter expert
Some assignments may require a Washington State Driver's License
Preferred
Experience with PMI-Scrum; or similar programs
