Sr. Quality Engineer (WEEKEND SHIFT)
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Senior for a weekend shift position based in Orlando, FL. The role involves analyzing and improving inspection and testing processes to ensure high-quality products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading initiatives for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment
Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products
Analyzing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging to support supplier IPTs and production sites
Leading corrective action meetings, identifying trends, and assisting in problem resolution
Participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to disposition non-conforming hardware and identify root causes
Performing assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO-9001 / AS9100
Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality
Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
Making final decisions on product acceptability
Qualification
Required
Bachelors level degree or higher in STEM and/or equivalent experience/combined education
Must be able to obtain a Security clearance
Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions and / or PO notes
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Knowledge Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Demonstrated presentation skills
Preferred
STEM degree at bachelors' level or higher preferred
Lean / Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
ASQ Certification: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
Experience working with Government customers
Effective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writing
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
