Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns
Monitor access points and controlled areas, observe for unusual conditions, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with medical staff and/or local law enforcement
Complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, including security-related observations, patrol findings, and follow-up actions
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess an armed guard card and/or license
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
