Responsibilities
Lead the Tool Crib Operation
Receive, store, issue, and track tools and project equipment
Maintain organized, calibrated, and reliable tool inventory
Support Machining Excellence
Select, stage, and prepare tooling for shop and field machining jobs
Read blueprints and job specs to anticipate tooling needs
Be the Tooling Authority
Advise machinists and technicians on tool usage and specialty tooling applications
Serve as the subject-matter expert for cutting tools, inserts, and machining components
Lead and Mentor
Train team members on procedures, safety, and best practices
Promote an efficient, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Keep Operations Moving
Load/unload trucks and manage shipping/receiving tasks
Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of tool crib, machining, or machine operator experience—this is strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Knowledge of carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, boring tools, and other precision tooling
Comfort using Microsoft Office and inventory systems
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities
