In addition to providing direct patient care, is accountable for facilitating staff assignments, coordination and monitoring of workload and is accountable for ensuring the staff orientation and skills and delivery of quality patient care and patient throughput during the assigned shift

Provide unit-based education
Give input on Performance Evaluations

Registered Respiratory TherapistActive Illinois Respiratory Care LicenseBasic Life SupportAdult Critical Care SpecialtyNeonatal Resuscitation ProgramAdvanced Cardiac Life SupportPediatric Advanced Life SupportBachelor's DegreeMaster’s DegreeAARC MemberUnit-based education

Required

3 Years of Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Currently Enrolled in a Program and Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Care Program
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Active Illinois Respiratory Care License
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) and/or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) and/or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - only for hospitals with NICU

Preferred

Master's Degree
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
2 Years of Experience in a PICU/NICU
1 Year of Experience in Pulmonary Rehab
