Development Associate
Magnolia Community Services is dedicated to providing high-quality services to clients with developmental disabilities, and they are seeking a Development Associate to support their fundraising, communications, and community engagement efforts. This role involves donor stewardship, data management, event support, and outreach to ensure the organization secures necessary resources.

Responsibilities
Process and acknowledge all gifts received by Magnolia in a timely and meaningful way
Maintain and manage the donor database, including gift entry and reporting, ongoing database cleanup, creating workflows to improve efficiency, and identify and prioritize key prospects
Assist the Director of Development with meeting the organization’s annual goals including grant development, special events, education and outreach, and other initiatives
Assist with donor cultivation and prospect management as needed
Assist with the development of fundraising strategies and goals
Assist in creating compelling content and graphics for social media, email campaigns, and newsletters
Manage email database
Represent Magnolia at community events building connections and generating awareness for the services and supports we provide our clients
Assist with the planning, logistics, volunteer management, and execution of fundraising and community events
Respects the confidentiality and dignity of employees’ personal information to which he/she may be privy
Understands and complies with Magnolia’s mission, vision, and values
Communicates professionally and respectfully with all Magnolia staff
Maintains a professional image as a representative of Magnolia
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or five years of relevant work experience
Minimum of 3 years, 5+ years preferred, of experience in the field of fundraising, nonprofit, or sales required
Current Louisiana Driver's License, required
Current Automotive Insurance Coverage, required
Attendance at Mandatory Training & In-Services
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong technology skills with preferred proficiency in Donor Perfect or similar CRM software, the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communication tools
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to act as a member of a team and work independently
Excellent problem-solving abilities
21 years of age or older
Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
Ability to pass background screening including pre-employment drug test, background check, and other requirements
Available to travel to other business locations and off-site locations as needed
Available to work after normal business hours and weekends as needed to support planned events
Maintains a professional appearance
Commitment to Magnolia's mission and an affinity for working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Preferred
5+ years of experience in the field of fundraising, nonprofit, or sales preferred
Nonprofit experience preferred
Preferred proficiency in Donor Perfect or similar CRM software
