2+ years expTrucking People is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the design, buildout, testing, and maintenance of advanced vehicle test rigs and platforms. The role involves hands-on work with cutting-edge systems, including assembling and troubleshooting vehicle components to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities
Build, wire, and test mechanical, electrical, and vehicle systems
Troubleshoot sensors, computers, and vehicle components (root-cause analysis & calibration)
Maintain and organize lab inventory, tools, and parts
Manage parts procurement and supplier relationships
Collaborate closely with engineers to minimize vehicle downtime while prioritizing safety
Qualification
Required
2+ years of hands-on technical experience (automotive, mechanical, electrical, robotics, or similar)
Strong skills in prototype assembly, wiring, soldering, and cable builds
Ability to read electrical schematics and datasheets
Experience working in a shop or lab environment
Comfortable with diagnostic tools, 3D printers, and shop equipment
Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting
Preferred
Python, Linux, or ROS experience
CNC, machining, welding, or fabrication skills
CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
Experience with AV sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras)
