Responsibilities

Plans, executes, and oversees clinical research operations
Strategizes, identifies, and organizes personnel support for current and future studies
Collaborates across teams to translate scientific goals into operational tasks
Identifies knowledge gaps. Leads the development of essential study material and standard operating procedures to ensure documentation fulfills professional/industry standards
Contributes to new grant and funding applications. Formulates experimental hypotheses and designs experimental protocols
Monitors scientific literature. Prepares written reports and manuscripts for submission to scientific journals
Collaborates with other technical and professional staff
Provides direct training and supervision to clinical research staff
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for the role
Supervisor: Conducts employee hiring, disciplinary actions, employee performance evaluations. Will supervise a team of research staff at WRNMMC

Required

Doctoral Degree required
Minimum of 5-8 years experience required
Knowledge of applicable complex scientific procedures and techniques
Excellent communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot technical procedures
Ability to work with and supervise others
Familiar with project management concepts
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
Experience conducting clinical research
Education in rehabilitation sciences, exercise sciences, or related discipline
Experience with personnel management
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an T3/Secret Security Clearance
Lifting: May require lifting materials up to 25 lbs
Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods
