Responsibilities
Provides coordination of an acquisition team consisting of technical, supply, finance, legal, and procurement communities and the customers we serve, and the contractors who provide the products and services
Plans, develops, implements, and directs all contracting activities in support of several functional mission areas
Performs work associated with the analysis of automated contracting systems, or with providing advice and guidance on contracting and procurement issues including procurement using small/disadvantaged businesses
Analyze cost request for approval of awards, leases, relief, claims price adjustment, terminations, price determinations, escalation, change orders, facilities contracts, maintenance contracts, etc
Carries out supervisory authorities and responsibilities of subordinates

Incumbent is required to become certified FAC-C Level 3 certification in Acquisition Career Field C (Contracting) or FAC-C (Professional) or civilian equivalent within two years of being hired for the position
Successful completion of a one-year supervisory probationary period is required
Completion of all mandatory training prescribed by the head of the agency for progression to GS-13 or higher-level contracting positions, including at least 4-years' experience in contracting or related positions
At least 1 year of that experience must have been specialized experience at or equivalent to work at the next lower level of the position
A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-13: 1) Leading a team with procurement, contracts, or requirement determination assignments; 2) Responding to and resolving acquisition questions/issues that require analysis and research; and 3) Assisting with acquisition and procurement plans to include price or cost estimates
