Responsibilities

Oversees operations of the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) project
Provides direct supervision to BHWET trainees as part of the practicum seminar
Leads the curriculum development committee
Conducts simulation experiences with trainees in the simulation lab
Partners with institutions to create recruitment pipelines
Develops targeted outreach materials for recruiting clinical supervisors
Monitors progress and ensures quality placement experiences within the experiential training sites
Coordinates and implements the five primary goals of the BHWET project: community partnership development and management; curriculum development and implementation; trainee recruitment, selection, and support; trainee supervision and practicum coordination; and supervisor training and development
Functions as the central operational leader for the grant's core activities, monitors progress, and ensures quality placement experiences within the experiential training sites

Master of Social WorkLicensed Independent Clinical Social WorkerIntegrated behavioral healthProficiency with Microsoft OfficeCommunication skillsTime management skillsOrganizational skillsProblem-solving skillsPresentation skills

Required

Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
Four (4) years post-MSW clinical experience
Two (2) years of experience with integrated behavioral health with children, adolescents, and/or young adults
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama or license-eligible
Must have valid U.S. driver's license
Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies
Ability to work independently, using sound judgement and solid decision-making skills to resolve problems
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Attention to detail and strong presentation and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills in virtual, phone, and in-person formats
Ability to interact with faculty, staff, students, and community partners with high professionalism and confidentiality
Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams and the latest features of the Microsoft Office suite

Preferred

Certified (or eligible to be certified) as a Social Work Supervisor in the State of Alabama
