Responsibilities
Packaging Operators are responsible for the proper filling, and stacking of 25kg bags (55.115 lbs.) and accounting of Inventory produced
Observing machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards
Labeling and changing sample bags on auto sampler
Monitoring the production line, watching for problems such as pileups, jams, or glue that is not sticking properly
Inspecting and removing defective products and packaging material
Changing and sealing unacceptable bags of powder produced during the shift
Responsible for the general cleanliness of the packaging room and its equipment. The packaging room must remain USDA inspection ready at all times
Knowledge and understanding of filling equipment and maintaining pace consistent with the packing line
Reporting immediately to supervisor of any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions concerning equipment
Aiding in the training of new personnel
Following all safety, work, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules
Support a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in efficiency and improvement efforts
Performing other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required

Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment
Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation
Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear
A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
Must possess or be able to acquire an Industrial Truck Operator License
