Responsibilities
Perform Ground Segment Software and Hardware Level 1 and Depot Level 2 support to include:
Bench testing/repair, system troubleshooting/repair and system administration tasks
Travel TDY to provide maintenance support for Ground Mobile Stations (deployed or on-station) including:
System administration, technical assistance and fault detection/fault isolation
Develop and maintain local processes and procedures to accomplish tasks not covered by Technical Orders
Qualification
Required
Basic IT skills: Understanding complex networks
System administrator skills, i.e. Password management, Software install/upgrades and System troubleshooting skills
Computer software familiarity, i.e. Windows and LINUX
Basic Programming skills, i.e. CMD line prompt and PowerShell
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Preferred
Security + Certified
Windows Administration Skills
knowledge on SIDEWINDER firewalls
knowledge on Oracle's Fiber Channel RAIDs
knowledge on LEGATO Networker—system backup software
knowledge on CISCO routers, switches and Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA)—a security device that combines firewall, antivirus, intrusion prevention, and virtual private network (VPN) capabilities
Some familiarity with the equipment/platforms below: Cisco 9300, DIGI, i.e. Port Manager, Remote Console, ACPC, i.e. Power Panel, Assy, AC, PDU, i.e. Power Distribution Unit
