Responsibilities
Operate the field camera
Ability to quickly edit
Lighting knowledge
Comfortable conducting interviews
Ability to tell stories using video, utilizing natural sound and creative editing techniques
Hands-on experience with editing software
Able to conduct interviews to get information
Must be able to lift/carry camera equipment ranging from 20lbs to 25lbs
Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
Good decision-making skills and news judgment
Qualification
Required
Applicant must have two years of experience as a news Videographer/Editor
Have a solid understanding of news program production
Degree in Journalism/Communications with videography and non-linear editing
Proven experience as a digital video storyteller with strong camera and editing skills (experience with Edius is a plus)
A demo reel is required
Strong photography skills and the ability to think creatively under constant deadline pressure
Skilled in lighting under various conditions
Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines
Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Valid driver's license
