Responsibilities
Conducts monthly close process and produces financial statements for assigned communities in conjunction with supervisor. Maintains close calendar and ensures that monthly close process is on time and materially accurate financial statements are released pursuant to the monthly close calendar
Prepares and reviews bank accounts bank account reconciliations for assigned communities at end of each month
Prepares and posts monthly closing journal entries
Prepares spreadsheets and other documentation for annual audits for BHI Senior Living, Inc. and Affiliates as required
Maintains and reconciles intercompany balances for assigned communities
Assists in preparation of tax filings and other tax related issues (i.e., Forms 990, Forms 1120, etc.)
Performs other duties as directed by Senior Accounting Manager or VP of Financial Operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field
5+ years' experience in finance or accounting with increasing responsibility
Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Preferred
Active CPA highly desired
Work in healthcare or senior living fields, a plus
