Responsibilities
Prepare and enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely in accordance with contract requirements
Enter and maintain project budgets as required by Project Managers
Set up contracts and maintain change orders
Participate in contract brief reviews with Accounting Manager
Prepare and distribute job cost, labor, and other financial reports as needed
Set up and maintain subconsultant and subcontract agreements in accounting systems
Coordinate receipt of vendor, subconsultant, and subcontractor invoices
Respond to vendor and subconsultant inquiries regarding invoice and payment status
Monitor contract and subcontractor values to ensure billings do not exceed approved amounts
Support month-end close activities, including preparing accruals, journal entries, and other accounting-related duties as assigned
Ensure data consistency across all systems
Support project audits and internal reviews
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is required
2-4 years of project accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Experience in Architecture & Engineering or construction-related environment
Hands-on experience with Deltek
JD Edwards experience
