Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Azure Data Lake–based ingestion, storage, and processing solutions
Develop and manage scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse (pipelines, mapping data flows, triggers)
Build data ingestion frameworks, validation workflows, and orchestration logic
Integrate SAP ECC/S4 data into Azure Data Lake for batch and delta loads
Implement Azure-based data warehousing and analytics solutions
Develop and optimize solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and Power BI
Perform data profiling, cataloguing, mapping, and technical data flow design
Expose data to end users via Power BI, APIs, and Azure services
Translate business requirements into technical data and analytics solutions
Support CI/CD, source control, and DevOps practices
Participate in agile delivery, POCs, prototyping, and knowledge transfer

Required

Strong experience as a Data Engineer in an Azure Big Data environment
Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL DB/DW
Programming experience in Python or Scala and strong mastery of SQL
Experience with SAP ECC/S4 data integration
Knowledge of Power BI and data visualization
Good understanding of Azure Analytics services (HDInsight Spark, Stream Analytics, Cosmos DB, IoT, Data Lake Analytics, U-SQL)
Experience with DBT, Git, Azure DevOps, ARM templates, PowerShell, and CI/CD
Familiarity with Lambda and Kappa architecture patterns
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, Redis)
Excellent communication skills and experience in agile environments

Preferred

MDM and data quality tools
team leadership or technical coaching
data preparation for ML/AI
experience with Azure Machine Learning and AI solutions
