Responsibilities
Support the development and application of control and instrumentation best practices across Newmont sites
Assist in calibration, commissioning, installation, and maintenance of industrial instrumentation and control systems
Participate in technical audits to verify compliance with standards and operating requirements
Maintain and update global standards, governance documents, and MOC processes
Provide guidance and technical support to Control System and E&I teams
Support business improvement projects focused on reliability, asset health, and asset integrity
Contribute to global dashboards that track performance and benchmarking for instrumentation and control systems
Coordinate with vendors, supply chain teams, and technical leaders on system improvements and procurement needs
Qualification
Required
Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering or related discipline is preferred
Strong experience in SCADA, control systems, OSIsoft PI, and CMMS tools such as SAP
Familiarity with industrial instrumentation, calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Experience developing or working with engineering standards and governance processes
Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills in global settings
Ability to work independently, escalate issues appropriately, and contribute to continuous improvement
Ability to travel internationally as required
Preferred
Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable to support our diverse global operations
Familiarity with Heavy Machine equipment controls and communications is considered a significant advantage
