Responsibilities
Serving as the Information Systems Security Approval Authority for systems under your control
Providing technical and compliance support for the organization’s Information Assurance (IA) program
Planning, coordinating, and enforcing IT security programs across various systems and projects
Maintaining the operational security posture for mission-critical information systems
Developing and enforcing information system security policies, standards, and methodologies
Supporting day-to-day security operations, including system monitoring and incident response
Conducting vulnerability and risk assessments to support system certification and accreditation (C&A)
Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet requirements for handling classified data
Managing system configuration, changes, and security impact assessments
Preparing and reviewing key documentation including: System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
Qualification
Required
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
Ten (10) years' experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Experience is to include at least one (1) of the following areas: Knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, Communication protocols, Encryption techniques/tools
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Possession of a DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process
