Responsibilities
Create and manage well-informed cloud strategies aligned with business objectives
Design, build, and test cloud architecture to ensure efficient data transfer and storage
Regularly evaluate and select cloud applications, hardware, software, and third-party providers
Work closely with IT security teams to monitor cloud privacy and ensure compliance
Lead cloud migration projects and provide guidance on infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers
Respond to technical issues professionally and in a timely manner
Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
Establish best practices for cloud adoption and optimize cloud infrastructure performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field
5-8 years of experience in cloud computing and infrastructure architecture
3+ years of strong hands-on experience with AZURE (including Azure VNET and networking experience)
Experience in cloud automation process utilizing AZURE Infrastructure as Code
Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale cloud solutions
Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
Effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex cloud reports to management and IT partners
Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering quality work
Microsoft Azure expertise – strong hands-on experience, including Azure VNET and networking
Cloud architecture design – designing and implementing large-scale, scalable cloud solutions
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – experience with Azure IaC tools (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
Cloud migration leadership – planning and executing cloud/infrastructure migration projects
Cloud security & compliance collaboration – working with security teams to ensure privacy, compliance, and governance
Preferred
Vantage cloud support experience
Knowledge of U.S Army enterprise cloud common services
Understanding Risk Management Framework and ATO process
Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications)
DevOps or infrastructure certifications (Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, Terraform Associate)
Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API management
Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices
Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR)
Security & compliance frameworks – RMF, ATO process, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or GDPR
Cloud / DevOps certifications – CISSP, CCSP, Azure security certs, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform Associate
Government / defense cloud experience – U.S. Army enterprise cloud common services or Vantage cloud support
Advanced cloud practices – microservices architecture, API management, or cloud cost optimization (FinOps)
