InternMartin-Baker America, Inc. is seeking an Intern in Purchasing to assist with various tasks within the purchasing life cycle. The intern will help with expediting orders, maintaining purchasing data, and supporting inventory management while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Assists with expediting and statusing orders
Assists with maintaining complete and accurate purchasing data in the ERP system
Assists with purchase order requisitions and converting them to purchase orders
Participates in developing Requests for Quotes
Assists with basic inventory management
Assists with price justification
Assists with coordination with planning/operations to support the product lines as needed
Assists in tracking shipping/quality documentation from suppliers as required
Builds relationships with suppliers
Adheres to all M-B America policies, operating procedures and work instructions at all times
Adheres to company Code of Ethics and purchasing policies and procedures, and any relevant Federal or regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Three to four years of study toward a degree in Business Operations, Procurement, Mathematics or other related field or Study or concentration in supply chain management or logistics
Must have a strong background in Microsoft Office
Position requires the ability to make presentations to management, and suppliers both orally and in writing
Position requires the ability to clearly communicate information to peers and superiors
Position requires a motivated attitude and an eagerness to learn negotiation strategies
Position requires willingness to work in a team environment
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility
Occasional local travel is expected with this position
Preferred
Position requires the ability to lead projects in area of professional expertise
A basic understanding of common manufacturing processes
