Responsibilities
Assess and determine the type and quantity of cabling required for cabling projects
Develop detailed plans and deployment strategies for cabling projects
Organize meetings with site owners and scheduling teams to discuss project specifications and timelines
Conduct tests on installed cables to ensure correct termination. Provide soft copies of test results
Properly label and lay cables, ensuring neat bundling and effective repairs of network ends of Ethernet cables
Terminate cables using appropriate connectors and techniques
Ensure that all cables are bundled and managed neatly after installation
Qualification
Required
U.S Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
This position is 5/days onsite in Washington D.C
High school diploma
Six (6) years of relevant experience
Familiarity with industry standards and FAA guidelines
Knowledge of various codes and standards, including but not limited to: FCC, IEEE, NFPA, NESC, ANSI, TIA, EIA, BICSI
Understanding of OSHA rules, regulations, and standards
Ability to work in diverse environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and potentially confined spaces like manholes or utility vaults
Capability to provide documentation, including certifications, soft copy test results, and floor plans with jack locations and labels
