Production Manager- Pre Voc
Lighthouse Vocational Services is a company that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing and operational processes, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining a supportive work environment for participants.

Responsibilities
Communicate with the Director of Programs to ensure smooth, efficient operation of the production floor
Provide direction to floor supervisors, ensuring quantity and quality goals are met or exceeded
Provide supervision and direction to the Warehouse Assistant
Scheduling Production with vendors (This includes email communications, phone calls scheduling work to be done and finished work for deliver/pick-up)
Initial intake and processing of customer invoices/packing slips into the current LVS inventory/production system in conjunction with Finance Assistant
Pricing – This involves taking the time study numbers and using our new formulas to establish rates at minimum wage and then communicating new pricing to the customer (in tandem with CFO & Director of Programs)
Provide outstanding service to customers–maintaining regular face to face (local) or telephone (long distance) communication– understanding their business needs
Legibly & accurately complete shippers/packing slips for items received and shipped
Distribute daily materials and supplies to meet production schedule
Audit the outcomes of work produced by daily quality & quantity checks to ensure LVS standards
Collaborate with the Direct Support Professionals & Program Specialists to set up workflow and train staff when new jobs come into the production area to ensure there is clear understanding of quality expectations
Operate tow motor and box truck safely
Maintains order and cleanliness in the warehouse and work areas
Provide direct support to participants to maintain ratios as needed and assist with toileting and personal hygiene
Provide routine support to Finance Assitant with billing and producing department reports
Utilize Quickbooks to complete routine reports
Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols
Ensure all production processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve defects or recurring issues
Attend professional development/team building training in person
Complete annual required online training on Relias training platform
Works as a team player with colleagues to promote positive and engaging work environment
Have quarterly meetings with supervisor for performance review/goal setting implementation/coaching
Advocate for the rights of individuals with IDD in various settings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Support the mission and vision of Lighthouse Vocational Services
Complete other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Finance or related field
Associate degree in business, human services and at least two years of related work experience and experience supervising staff or–
High school diploma/GED with at least four years of work experience in production, warehouse or related setting and at least two years of supervisory experience
Ability to operate LVS box truck
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Demonstrated knowledge of shipping and receiving administrative processes
Ability to balance production efficiency with individualized support needs
Demonstrate working knowledge of PC skills, i.e. Microsoft Office programs, and ability to learn Setworks program– as job requires
Ability to cross function with quality and finance teams
Have experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to organize work schedule and tasks in an efficient manner
Must complete PA required training in Community Participation Supports within thirty days of employment
Must be able to lift fifty lbs
Preferred
Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification to operate a fork-lift
