Responsibilities
Leading faculty recruitment, hiring, development, evaluation, and tenure support, and creating a culture of collegiality and shared governance
Overseeing graduate and undergraduate ECE curriculum development, assessment, and continuous programmatic review and analysis
Overseeing program accreditation (NYSED, Middle States, and any professional accreditations if applicable), rankings, academic and policies, and assessment with commitment to continuous program improvement
Being responsible for: program organization, program administration, planning, budget, financial, and other resources management of the program, continuous programmatic review and analysis, program planning, program development, completion of accreditation required documents, and adherence to the accreditation policies
Teaching in lectures, laboratories, and/or culminating experiences
Developing internships, job placements, and other professional aspects of the program
Ensuring student academic and professional success
Teaming with Administrators and Faculty of other programs to identify synergistic strategies and shared goals
Establishing partnerships with local, national, and international organizations
Developing research and grant opportunities
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or its related field from an accredited college or university
Strong record of research and external funding
Demonstrated expertise in academic administration and leadership, including the ability to build a collaborative, productive, and engaged group of computer scientists
Preferred
Preference will be given to those candidates with research/grants in the focus areas of the department
