Responsibilities

Contribute to single-site and multi-site clinical trials to evaluate treatments for substance use disorders
Assist with project management, participant recruitment and screening, consenting and interviewing as needed
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
Assist with data entry and data reporting tasks
Work closely with the principal investigator, pharmacists, students, and study participants to carry out study recruitment and data collection
Assist with cross-site data collection for a multi-site clinical trial, including attending project meetings and contributing to coordinated execution of research procedures across sites
Help to oversee general supervision of project staff and coordination of clinical research activities
Co-lead coordination of clinical research projects in collaboration with members of a multidisciplinary team
Assist with administrative and literature review tasks as needed

Required

demonstrated experience in clinical research coordinator roles (at least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical research coordinator or similar role is required; 3 or more years is preferred)
Prior direct experience with recruitment of human participants for clinical research studies
Demonstrated experience supervising research project staff
documentation of certified research coordinator training
A bachelor's degree or higher
strong computer skills
demonstrated experience with data collection and clinical trial management software (e.g., REDCap)
the ability to work in a fast-paced clinic/hospital environment while interacting with participants/patients and multidisciplinary team members
Knowledge of medical environment and terminology
Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and institutional research regulations as well as Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and HIPPA regulations
Proficient with MS Office applications
Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills
Ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

Preferred

Experience with managing and planning project budgets
Knowledge of medical environments and medical terminology
Preferred Degree: Bachelor's degree or higher
Preferred Fields of Expertise: Clinical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, psychology, medicine, addiction medicine/substance use
Preferred Licensure/Certification: Phlebotomy certification and CA State Phlebotomy License
Demonstrated experience in clinical research assistant/coordinator positions on clinical trials
Preferred Experience: 3 years
Preferred Skills: Staff education and orientation experience
Knowledge of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS)
