Responsibilities
Perform a diverse array of laboratory methods (e.g., PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, cell culture)
Scout and evaluate new diagnostic assays, platforms and methodologies to determine clinical utility and feasibility for lab adoption
Design and execute rigorous validation studies in accordance with CLIA and CAP (and when appropriate NYSDOH, GLP, IVDR) guidelines, including statistical analysis for diagnostics performance
Author comprehensive validation plans and reports, SOPs, etc
Ensure all activities adhere to strict quality management systems and regulatory guidelines
Qualification
Required
MSc or PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field
Ability to perform wet-lab bench work
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Attention to detail is essential—critically ill patients' lives are at stake!
Preferred
Post-doctoral lab experience
Experience in hematology, immune dysregulation, or complement biology
Prior work in a CLIA/CAP-accredited lab
