Responsibilities

Working on Tariff mitigation project to start and then transitioning to Customs Data Role after project – HTS, country of origin, adhering to Abbott policies and government regulations
Regulatory, EHS, Dangerous Goods, etc. experience is good transferable experience
Restaurant Experience nice to have due to experience with high volume, able to pivot, work under pressure, work well within teams
Med Device experience nice to have
Analytical – dealing with data
Document management skills
HTS Classification experience highly preferred
Experience with government regulations
Read US Regulations and make determinations
Working with Engineers and different product groups on technical specs and making determinations
SAP and Winchell experience nice to have
Quality Systems experience nice to Have
MS Office experience required – excel experience mid-level (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

Required

High School Diploma and or G.E.D
Knowledge of import/export logistics
International freight forwarding
Use of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule or Schedule B commodity codes
Creating Proforma Invoices
Classifying commodities according to HTS and/or Schedule B
Maintaining updated FDA and Other Agency data
NAFTA Certificates of Origin
Filing Shippers Export Declarations
Maintain Inbound/Outbound Shipment Log and Filing System
Shipment Tracking and Follow Up
Logistics Coordinating/Assistance
Compliance/Audit
Audit Customs Brokerage Invoices
MS Office experience required – excel experience mid-level (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
