Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points; working conditions may vary by location
Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and loitering
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or fire and equipment alarms, and coordinate with site leadership and emergency services as directed
Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate shift activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate parties
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client
Be at least 21 years of age
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred
Loss prevention experience is preferred
