Responsibilities
Assists engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test products and processes
Supports with technical tasks and project support
Sets up equipment and monitors tests and experiments
Inspects products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement
Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports
Performs extensive research and development during creation phase of product
Utilizes computer-aided design and drafting equipment during design phase
Qualification
Required
Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Technical expertise
Ability to understand and follow directions
Design expertise
Mathematical skills
Engineering Support
Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
May need to stand for long periods of time
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery
May be requested to work a different shift
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
